Before you can edit a title, you must selectit in the Monitor panel.

Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 is one of the most accomplished editors out there, second only to its big brother in Premiere Pro. Unlike that version, this offers a simpler way to get into video editing, but don't underestimate this little beauty as it scales up to plenty of complexity for those that need it.

    • In the Quick view timeline, select thetitle clip or the clip on which the title is superimposed. In theMonitor panel, click the clip to select it, and then double-clickthe text to edit.

    • In the Expert view timeline, you may need to usethe scroll bars along the right side to see a title on the Videotrack to which the title has been applied.

    The title-editing tools appear and the tool changes tothe Type tool. The Project Assets panel changes to display textoptions, where you can specify options for the text in your title.

    • To move the insertion point, click betweencharacters or use the Left Arrow and Right Arrow keys.

    • To select a single character or group of contiguouscharacters, drag from the blinking insertion-point cursor to highlightthe characters.

    • To format an entire text or graphic object, clickthe object to select it, and then modify its attributes.

  1. If necessary, double-click the titlein the Expert view timeline to open it in the Monitor panel.
    • Choose Text > Word Wrap.

    • Right-click/ctrl-click in the Monitor panel andchoose Word Wrap.

You can find text controls such as font,font style, and type alignment, in the Adjust panel. You can alsofind text controls in the pop-up menu that appears when you right-click/ctrl-clicka box in the Monitor panel.

Youcan quickly apply a favorite set of attributes (color, shadow, andso on) to any object by using the Styles section of the Adjust panel.

  1. If necessary, double-click the titlein the Expert view timeline to open it in the Monitor panel.

    • In the Text tab of the Adjust panel, choosea font from the Font menu.

Many fonts include built-in variations, suchas bold, italic, and narrow fonts. The specific variations dependon the font.

  2. In the Text tab of the Adjust panel, do any of the following:
    • Choose a style from the Font Style menu.

    • Click one or more of the font style icons: Bold,Italic, Underline.

      note: If the typeface doesn’t include bold oritalic versions, their font style icons appear dimmed. You can underlineany font.

  1. If necessary, double-click the titlein the Expert view timeline to open it in the Monitor panel.
  2. In the Monitor panel, select the text and do one of thefollowing:
    • In the Text tab of the Adjust panel, changethe Size value.

    • Right-click/ctrl-click the title on the Monitorpanel and choose Size from the context menu.

  1. If necessary, double-click the titlein the Expert view timeline to open it in the Monitor panel.
  2. In the Monitor panel, select a paragraph text object.
  3. In the Text tab of the Adjust panel, do one of the following:
    • To align text with the left side of thebox, click Left Align Text.

    • To center the text in the box, click Center Text.

    • To align text on the right side in the box, clickRight Align Text.
